SAFAR-Air Quality Forecast (Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad) :     SHORT RANGE FORECAST:The overall Delhi AQI has marginally improved and in the poor category as of today morning owing to sight increase in surface winds. Air quality is forecasted to stay in poor to the lower end of very poor category for tomorrow. A change in surface wind direction is forecasted by the early 21st which is likely to bring on calm surface wind conditions leading to low ventilation and deterioration of AQI. Very poor AQI is predicted for 21st and 22nd October. The SAFAR synergized stubble burning fire counts around Haryana, Punjab, and neighboring regions stand at ≈ 1090. Though transport-level wind direction is favorable, an increase in transport level wind speed and local Delhi surface winds lead to a decrease in Stubble % contribution in Delhi PM2.5. The SAFAR model estimate of stubble burning share in PM2.5 is 10% for today.         The air quality of Pune is in the good category. Mumbai and Ahmedabad AQI are in the satisfactory category. Pune AQI is likely to stay in the good to the satisfactory category for the next three days. Mumbai and Ahmedabad AQI are likely to marginally deteriorate and in the satisfactory to moderate category for the next two days.
